പ്രകൃതി സുന്ദരമായ ഇളംങ്ങുളം ഗ്രാമത്തിൻറെ തിലകക്കുറിയായി, വിജ്‍ഞാനത്തിൻറെ വെള്ളിവെളിച്ചം ചൊരി‍ഞ്ഞുകൊണ്ടിരിക്കുന്ന സരസ്വതിക്ഷേത്രമാണ് ശ്രീധർമ്മശാസ്താ ദേവസ്വം K.V.L.P.G. സ്കൂൾ.കേരളത്തിലെ ആദ്യകാല പെൺ പള്ളിക്കൂടങ്ങളിലൊന്ന്, 1924-ൽ കൃഷ്ണവിലാസം ലോവർ പ്രൈമറി ഗേൾസ് സ്കൂൾ എന്ന പേരിൽ സ്ഥാപിതമായി. മഞ്ഞപ്പള്ളിൽ കുടുംബവകയായി, എയ്ഡഡ് മേഖലയിൽ പ്രവർത്തനമാരംഭിച്ച വിദ്യാലയം 1984-ൽ ഇളങ്ങുളം ശ്രീ ധർമ്മശാസ്താ ദേവസ്വം ഏറ്റെടുത്തു. തലമുറകളായി ആയിരക്കണക്കിന് കുഞ്ഞുങ്ങൾക്ക് അറിവിൻറെ വാതായനം തുറന്നുകൊടുത്ത ഈ വിജ്ഞാനകേന്ദ്രം പാലാ - പൊൻകുന്നം റോഡരികിൽ ശിരസ്സുയർത്തി നില്ക്കുന്നു. ഇളങ്ങുളം ശ്രീധർമ്മശാസ്താ ദേവസ്വം നിയന്ത്രണത്തിൽ പ്രവർത്തിക്കുന്ന K.V.L.P.G. സ്കൂൾ പ്രദേശത്തെ ഏറ്റവും മികച്ച പ്രൈമറി വിദ്യാലയങ്ങളിൽ ഒന്നാണ്.
ഇരുനിലകളിലായി എണ്ണായിരം ചതുരശ്ര അടിയിൽ, പന്ത്രണ്ട് മുറികളുള്ള കെട്ടിടത്തിലാണ് സ്കൂൾ പ്രവർത്തിക്കുന്നത്. പഴയ സ്കൂൾ മന്ദിരം ഓഡിറ്റോറിയമായി ഉപയോഗിക്കുന്നു. സ്കൂളിനോട് ചേർന്ന് പ്ലേ സ്കൂൾ, LKG , UKG വിഭാഗങ്ങളും പ്രവർത്തിക്കുന്നു. എല്ലാ ക്‌ളാസുകളിലും കുട്ടികൾക്ക് പിന്തുണയും സുരക്ഷയും ഉറപ്പാക്കാൻ ആയമാരുടെ സേവനവും മാനേജ്‌മെന്റ് ഉറപ്പ് നല്കിയീട്ടുണ്ട്. സർക്കാർ-എയ്ഡഡ് മേഖലയിൽ പ്രവർത്തിക്കുന്ന ഈ സ്ഥാപനം ഇന്ന് കേരളത്തിലെ ഏറ്റവുമധികം അടിസ്ഥാനസൗകര്യങ്ങളുള്ള വിദ്യാലയങ്ങളിൽ ഒന്നാണ്.

The curriculum is comprehensive and based on core subjects going beyond academic book knowledge but also facilitating ideas and skills. The facilities include airy, ventilated classrooms, well stocked library, computer systems, audio-visual room with facilities like LCD projector, OHP, computers, sports and art materials. The school has to its credit a number of activities to provide the children with ample opportunities to interact and learn. The Staff of the school is provided with Orientation Programmes, The main emphasis in the primary section is to make teaching and learning a joyful and stress-free experience for children. The school begins at 10:00 am and ends at 4:00 pm. The noon meal programme has been effectively monitored by MPTA. The campus is going green and beautiful with the various vegetable, flower plants, ECO club, green club. Various festivals, celebrations helps to interact and learn. The functional activities aim to strengthen the students to ensure environment-friendly growth and development.
